  • 1 stick 8 tbsps cold Unsalted Butter, cut into a small dice
  • 1/2 4 tbsps stick of Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Ground Clove

Instructions

Directions:

  • Into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment add whole oats, flour, brown and white sugars, sea salt, spices and diced butter, mix until the mixture comes together resembling small crumbles. Remove mixing bowl from the stand mixer.
  • Place a large cast iron or non-stick skillet over med-high heat. Add the 1/2 stick of unsalted butter, when the butter is melted adjust the heat to low and add three cupfuls of the oatmeal crisp crumble mixture a cup at a time until, stir the oatmeal crisp crumble into the melted butter, the mixture will begin to brown and separate into crumbles. Remove skillet from heat. Set the oven to high broil. When the oven is hot, place the skillet on the center rack and heats the oatmeal crisp crumble until the top is golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside for later. Go ahead, grab a little nibble. Now, tell me that ain't super yummy.
