Honey Garlic Butter French Green Beans
Our Honey Garlic Butter French Green Beans are blanched and cooled in an ice bath. A glaze is made with melted butter, minced garlic, and honey.

- 1 pound of north bay green beans
- 1 stick of quality unsalted butter
- 6-8 large cloves of garlic
- 2-3 tbsp honey (you can also use pure maple or agave syrup)
- 1/4 cup of white wine
- 2 tbsps of fresh lemon juice optional
- pinch of kosher salt; just before serving use a finishing salt
Remove the green beans from the package and rinse. Cut the stem end off of the greens and beans and set aside.
Fill a large pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and boil. Blanch the green beans for 3-4 minutes.
Transfer the green beans using a slotted spoon into a large bowl filled with iced water. Thoroughly cool the green beans, drain, and place in a bowl.
Set the bowl in the fridge or an airtight container for up to two days.
To make the honey garlic butter sauce, place a large skillet over medium heat, melt one stick of unsalted butter, and add 6-8 cloves of minced garlic and the juice of one lemon, stirring consistently for 3-4 minutes.
Add the white wine and honey and continue stirring for 2 minutes.
In a separate skillet over med-high heat, add 2 tbsps of evoo; when the oil is hot, add the cooked French Green Beans and heat them through.
Transfer the beans to a serving bowl and spoon the honey garlic butter sauce over the green beans.
