Easy Pumpkin Butter

- 2 15- oz cans of 100% pure pumpkin or pumpkin purée
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
- 1/2 cup pure grade A maple syrup
- 1/2 cup apple cider; I prefer unfiltered apple cider
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp pumpkin spice or apple pie spice
- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp of flaky sea salt
- Serve with crusty toasted bread apple, and pear slices. This pumpkin butter would also pair well with Rum Citrus French Toast.
