Here’s a cold and refreshing summer soda drink to try. Using Blood Orange soda, mixed with strawberry and pineapple, our Summer Strawberry Blood Orange soda is the perfect way to cool down.
Summer Strawberry Blood Orange Soda
We love to spend our Michigan summers outdoors. I mean, we live in Michigan. It’s only nice a few times of the year, so yes, you have to soak it all in. Zayd’n loves to create drinks mixing all types of liquids together. I guess he gets it from his D, who loves to create beautiful cocktails you can find here on the blog.
Last week Zayd’n and I were hanging out on the back patio, with a cool breeze waffling around us. As we sat and talked about all the things we wanted to do this summer, we started to get thirsty. Recently on my weekly grocery run, I spotted a new product by Welch’s. They have quite a few virgin drink mixes, perfect for those who don’t drink alcohol and kids.
We decided to use the Welch’s Strawberry Daiquiri, plus Dole’s 100% Pineapple Juice and a few more liquids to create a Summer Strawberry Blood Orange Soda. As we added a little bit of this and a little bit of that, we were like, “um yeah this is GOOD!”
And yes, this Summer Strawberry Blood Orange concoction is REALLY, REALLY, GOOD!
Ingredients for a Summer Strawberry Blood Orange Soda
- 5 oz of Welch’s Strawberry Daiquiri
- 5 oz of coconut lime sparkling soda
- 5 oz San Pellegrino blood orange
- 5 oz pineapple juice.
- Fill a large mason jar (about a 32 oz) with ice cubes.
- In a cocktail shaker (or another glass), add Strawberry Daiquiri, Coconut Lime Sparkling Soda, Blood Orange Soda and Pineapple Juice.
- Stir with a cocktail stirrer or straw for about 15 seconds. { do not shake}
- Strain mixture into the mason jar.
- Serve.
