Stocking Stuffers For Teens
The other day I was sorting through old Christmas photos, and it took me down memory lane. As I looked at each picture of the boys opening up their Christmas presents and stocking stuffers, it was a bittersweet moment. I LOVE this time of the year, with Christmas being my favorite holiday. I’ve taken the traditions my grandma started with us and continued them with my boys. When the kids were little, it was easy to fill their stockings with little trinkets and small toys. But as they get older, finding stocking stuffers for teen boys became quite the challenge.
What to put in teen stockings?
I’ve also opted out of putting in little trinkets, but instead, adding gifts they will love and use. In the past few years, they bypass the tree and stop at their stockings first. Our boys know we will sometimes put the best gift in the stocking, and as kids get older, they tend to get less but more valuable gifts.
So, if you’re stumped on what to put inside your teen’s stocking, I have a list of items your teen wants to find in their stocking on Christmas morning.
Stocking Stuffers for Teen Boys
Money is always a great choice to put into their stocking. A crisp $20 bill is still a fun, yet unexpected gift your teen will love.
Their favorite movie. Does your teen have a favorite movie or maybe a new film on the market they want to watch? In our house, our boys are big Spider-Man fans, so I added a copy of the SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, which is now available on Blu-ray™, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD.
We’ve shared a movie review here on the blog, as well as a themed Spider-Man drink you can make while you watch Spider-Man: Far From Home with a bowl of popcorn. Tom Holland does a great job playing teen Peter Parker. Watching Spider-Man: Far From Home reminded me so much of my boys, and I can see why they love the Spider-Man movies.
As we were watching the movie, one of our sons was very into the relationship between MJ and Peter. He related to Peter’s frustration of thinking MJ liked someone else, but not having the courage to tell her about his feelings. Another favorite part we enjoyed is where the kids from school, Betty Brant and Jason Ionello, explain the blip. Another funny part was Happy telling Peter about not ghosting Nick Fury. The relationship between Betty and Ned was quite comical, and we all loved how much action was packed into this movie. This is one movie your teen(s) will want, so order Spider-Man: Far From Home now.
What else can you put in a teen’s stocking?
Game Cards are always a great idea if your teen is a gamer. I always give my boys a gift card for their favorite game system.
Gift Cards to their favorite restaurants, stores, or a prepaid gift card is another stocking stuffer idea. This also includes gift ideas for their food delivery service.
Sports Socks is something kids may not ask for, but they will need them if they play sports or like to wear name-brand socks.
Streaming devices are small enough to put into a stocking and are a pleasant surprise for the unexpected teen. We gave these to our boys last year, and they use them all the time.
Add a small book for the avid reader. In today’s society, with teens’ eyes glued to their phones, it’s always refreshing to have them pick up a book and read.
Do they have a hobby? If so, add some products that they could use to further their interest and love into that hobby. For example, one of our boys loves to draw and is pretty good. I’ll add some drawing pencils and small notepads to his stocking.
If they have a phone or electronic device, getting them a set of earbuds or wireless headphones is a gift they will love.
Additional stocking stuffers teens will love
- Card games
- Candy
- Gum
- Extra Charging Cable
- Phone Case
- Gift Cards to their favorite music store
- Razor + Blades
- Travel products
- Favorite video game (the new Spiderman game is on our teen’s list for 2020)
- And if you’re planning on getting your teen a car for Christmas, put the key in the bottom of the stocking
- Get out of chores free card {use our free printable}
You can print this checklist to take with you while you shop for Christmas stocking stuffers.
All of these ideas are teen-approved, and my boys agree, placing a copy of Spider-Man: Far From Home in the Christmas stocking is a must. Don’t feel the pressure to fill the stocking to the brim; just a few of their favorite or most-wanted things is the way to go.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is now available on Digital, Blu-ray™, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD. And even if you don’t plan to put it in the stocking, it’s a great gift idea for the Spidey fan or to buy for family movie night.
Cheers to a wonderful holiday!
