Spicy Tuna Lettuce Wraps {Kid-Approved Snack}
Our Spicy Tuna Lettuce Wraps are perfect for an afternoon snack, game day appetizer, or when you want something light without turning on the oven. As the boys head back to school, I’m thinking of afternoon snack ideas they will love, plus sharing an appetizer is a great way to bond and talk about their day.
This is also a great recipe for a quick, no fuss light lunch or an anytime snack for you, the kids, or guests. If you’re a fan of lettuce wraps in general, then we think you will be satisfied with our yummy lettuce wrap recipe. We used a great spicy tuna recipe starring French’s® Spicy Brown Mustard to create this super fresh excuse to eat something delicious.
We love to use fresh products and natural ingredients as much as possible. We were able to pull the swiss chard and lettuce from our garden. We also love using French’s products because of their natural ingredients and no artificial flavoring. In this last post of a three-part series, we’re using the Spicy Brown Mustard to give our tuna lettuce wraps a little kick. However, it’s still mild enough for kids to love and enjoy. Our boys gobbled these lettuce wraps up, so it’s safe to say they are kid and teen approved!
Spicy Tuna Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients:
- 2 12 ounce cans of solid albacore tuna
- 2 green onions sliced thin
- 1/4 cup parsley minced
- 2 teaspoons diced pimiento
- 2 tablespoons Mayonaise
- 2 tablespoons French’s® Spicy Brown Mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 6 semi-soft boiled eggs, cut in half
- Fresh lettuce
- Fresh Swiss chard
- A handful of French’s Crispy Fried Onions
- Sea Salt + Cracked Black Peppercorns (to taste)
Directions:
- Drain tuna, spoon it into a medium-sized bowl, add green onions, parsley, pimento, mayonnaise, Spicy Brown Mustard, cayenne ground pepper, and sea salt, and freshly cracked black peppercorns. Mix well. Adjust ingredients for taste.
- Pull apart fresh lettuce leaves and Swiss chard, then arrange them on a plate.
- Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoon of the Spicy Tuna Salad onto the lettuce and Swiss Chard center.
- Add additional toppings like halved grape tomatoes, diced English cucumber, French’s Crispy Fried Onions, and a quarter of a hard-boiled egg.
- Serve.

This looks so good and so delicious. I haven’t done lettuce wraps in quite some time and you’ve just inspired me to start making them again. Since we love tuna, I’ll have to do this first and we love French’s here too!
