Rose Gold Table Setting for a Galentine’s Party
The month of love is just around the corner, and if you’re working on plans to host a Galentine’s gathering this year, let this post inspire you!
I’m sharing how I put together this rose gold table setting, perfect for a Galentine’s party, Valentine’s Day idea, or when you want to create a theme with this color palette.
Instead of mixing a variety of colors you may find in typical Valentine’s Day decor (reds, pinks), I took a softer approach by going with a lighter colors.
Start With An Anchor Piece
I start with an anchor piece when I work on a tablescape or party design.
The anchor piece is what you will create your theme around. It could be pretty colored glassware, a disco ball, napkins, etc.
For this idea, my anchor piece started with heart-shaped rose color glassware found at HomeGoods.
Mood Board for Tablescapes
From there, I started to search for other items in the same color pattern. I created a mood board for my design, which helped me put all my ideas in one spot.
Creating a mood board for your tablescape or party idea is a great way to visually see your design before purchasing products.
I could edit out what didn’t fit and then sourced all the items I needed to create this theme.
Color Palette
This tablescape includes the following colors:
- rose gold
- dusty rose
- dusty pink
- blush

Putting together this Rose Gold Table Setting with heart-shaped plates:
Step 1: Place your runner down the middle of the table. Set the flower arrangement in the center of the table, then add candles on either side of the flowers.
For a little extra razzle dazzle, add an assortment of rose gold disco balls throughout the center of the table.
Step 2: Set the table. Start with the dinner plate and the cloth napkin, then add the white heart-shaped appetizer plate and the smaller pink heart plate.
Place the fork to the left of the plate setting, and place the knife, followed by the spoon, on the right side. Then, add your glassware.
Dusty Pink DIY Balloon Backdrop
Everyone loves a good photo op area. If you have the space, create a DIY balloon backdrop with just a few things!
You will need:
- Mattle Latex Dusty Pink 140-piece balloon set
- Dusty Pink Arch Covers
- Arch Backdrop
- Optional: add an xoxo neon sign to attach to the backdrop
- You will also need an electric balloon pump.
Step 1. Take all the balloons out of the packaging. I like sorting the balloons to ensure I have all the correct sizes, balloon tape, and fishing line.
Step 2. Blow up the balloons using the electric pump. I like to blow up two at a time and then tie them together. This makes it easier when you start assembling the garland.
Step 3. Assemble the balloon garland using a fishing line (it comes in the package) and the balloons. You can use the photo on the packaging to create an identical balloon garland or get creative and make a different design. Keep a few extra balloons to fill the gaps once you hang the garland.
Step 4. Hang the balloon garland on the arch. Once I assembled the arches, I draped the balloon garland over the side of the smaller arch. I used a few clasps to pin the garland to the arch (on the back of the arch.)
Everything is better with ribbon!
Add ribbon to your glassware if you want to level up your hostess skills to the mostess super quickly.
You can make a fancy bow or keep it simple and keep the ribbon loosely on the table.
Don’t forget the food and drinks!
Here are some recipe ideas to make and serve at your Galentine party.
