Raspberry Piña Colada Cocktail
Our deliciously yummy Raspberry Piña Colada cocktail will have you humming, “Cupid, draw back your bow and let your arrow flow straight through my lover’s heart!” Or maybe not!
Anyway, your romantic situation notwithstanding, this cocktail is 100% lit!
So whip it up for a fun girl’s night in, or serve it up to your lover boy or girl (no judgment here) as you’re preparing a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner for two.
However, if you decide to celebrate Valentine’s Day, you can’t go wrong sipping on this yumlicious cocktail creation.
Trust me, have I ever steered you wrong? See!
I spent a lot of time in the dojo (my kitchen) creating the perfect Valentine’s Day cocktail.
Naturally, I wanted it to be something pink and creamy. And it had to be simple to make because nobody has time for complicated cocktails. I also wanted something berry-flavored and a bit of a surprise.
I finally settled on an updated version of a piña colada minus the pineapple.
This super easy recipe is what I came up with, and it is everything I wanted; it is quick and easy to make, it’s potent, it’s creamy, and above all, it’s very berry pink! I did good y’all, didn’t I?
This is one smooth cocktail with all the right moves, and it will seduce you with its delicate, creamy raspberry potency.
It has the coconut creaminess of a piña colada. But instead of the predominate pineapple flavor, I switched things up on ’em and went with the fresh raspberries and gourmet raspberry syrup; and just because I like to titillate the taste buds, I added some RumChata.
Add all these ingredients together with ice and shake until your heart’s content.
Strain this lovely concoction into your favorite cocktail glass, and there you go.
Don’t forget to garnish it with a heart-shaped marshmallow threaded with a long cocktail stick, and you’ve got yourself a winner! Oh, and if you don’t like raspberry, use strawberry, blueberry, or whatever berry makes you happy.
Cheers!
Valentine’s Cocktail Idea | Raspberry Pina Colada Cocktail
Serving Size: 1
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2-ounces white rum
- 1-ounce gourmet raspberry syrup
- 50 ml RumChata (1.7 oz)
- 3 fresh raspberries
- 3 ounces pina colada cocktail mix
How To Make A Premade Piña Colada Mix
For this recipe, I am using a hack and went with a premade piña colada mix, and it makes for a short preparation time.
But, if your inner mixologist cannot be restrained, then go right ahead and make your piña colada from scratch using a combination of white rum (2 1/2 ounces), cream of coconut (3 ounces), raspberry juice (3 ounces), and a cup of ice (or use frozen raspberries).
Put all the ingredients into a blender and let it whip until you get a smooth consistency. That’s a lot of extra work, but I can’t stop you if you are a determined, do-it-yourself kinda person.
Directions on making this pink cocktail:
- Add three fresh raspberries into a cocktail tin and mash them with a muddler.
- Pour in the white rum, gourmet raspberry syrup, RumChata, and pina colada mix.
- Toss in four ice cubes, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a serving glass.
- Garnish with a heart marshmallow threaded through a cocktail stick.
- Serve.
Remember to drink responsibly, and never drink and drive!

Hi. Are you sure that 150ml is correct? 😅
T Worthey says
Hi Paula- the 1 is before the 50 ml, referring to using (1) 50 ml, not 150. Hope that helps.
