Mocktail Idea | Blueberry Lemonade Mocktail
Summertime calls for cool, breezy, and that easy go feeling. Nothing says summertime like a cold glass of lemonade in a mason jar. We decided to mix it up a bit and add a little bit of this and a little bit of that to make a lemonade mocktail. We’re calling this one the Blueberry Lemonade Mocktail, mixed with sprite, blueberry lemonade minute maid, blue curacao, and ice.
Summer is going strong here at the Worthey house. We’re working on our tween bucket list of ideas, which has included a few road trips, including one to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana.
Zayd’n and I put our heads together to make this mocktail for you guys. You all know I live for easy everything. This mocktail only needs four ingredients, if you count the ice. Whip out a mason jar (or any cup/glass will do), along with the ingredients listed below to make this summertime mocktail!
Ingredients:
- 3-4 oz of Blueberry Lemonade Juice (I used Minute Maid version)
- 2 oz Sprite
- 1 oz Blue Curacao (use blue syrup if you don’t want to use Blue Curacao in a kid’s drink)
- 1 cup of Ice
- 3 Maraschino cherries for garnish
** ingredients are per glass
Directions:
- Fill ice in a mason jar or glass (a 6 or 8 oz glass is fine)
- In a cocktail shaker, add the Blueberry Lemonade, Sprite, Blue Curacao (do not shake).
- Pour over ice.
- Serve.

What can I use instead of Sprite?
If you don’t want to use Sprite you are welcome to use a 7up or even another brand of lemon lime soda. Or to skip the soda you could use a sparkling water of your choice. I find the sprite adds a nice sweetness without overpowering the cocktail. But feel free to swap it out if you so choose.
What does blue curacao taste like?
While the color is blue, many find it unique that blue curacao tastes like an orange peel with a hint of bitterness. This is a great ingredient that you will use for mixing in cocktails.
Is Blue Curacao a syrup or alcohol?
Depending on the brand you can buy this as just a flavored syrup or as a syrup that does contain around 25% alcohol. Torani has a blue curacao that is non-alcoholic mixed drink add-in. Feel free to buy any brand you enjoy.
What is a different way to garnish this mocktail?
If you don’t want to use cherries you can add in some lemon slices to the cup or even on the rim of the glass. Then add in a few fresh blueberries to enhance the look of the drink even more. You could also garnish with mint for a cooling effect to the mocktail lemonade as they sip.
