With the new Marvel’s Thor Ragnarok movie out, it’s time to have some fun and get creative in the kitchen!
If your kids are into the Avenger characters, like The Hulk, they will love this awesome, kid-friendly drink.
Kid-Friendly Drink: The Hulk
My 9-year-old (at the time of making this drink a few years ago) loves to have fun in the kitchen by concocting fun, crazy drinks. He didn’t put this one together, but he had fun drinking it! And he gives it two thumbs up!
Plus once the kids take a few sips of The Hulk Drink, they will definitely want to try the Captain America Drink: Red, White & Blue!
So let’s dig in!
What Do I Need For The Hulk Drink
Sprite. Any lemon-lime soda will work for this recipe. Or if you want to skip the soda, reach for carbonated water to replace the sprite.
Food Coloring. Green and purple will be needed. I find that the neon food coloring helps to give this drink that bold and bright color you are looking for.
Pina Colada Mix. Head to the freezer section to find the pina colada mix. It is like a concentrated lemonade but a pina colada flavor. You will use this, as it will sink to the bottom of the drink, as it is a thicker consistency.
Can I make a pitcher of this drink
Absolutely. Go right ahead and make as much of the Hulk drink as you would like. If you are having a birthday party or something like that, you will find making a larger pitcher is handy.
The single-serve cups help to ensure every drink has the right amount of the pina colada mixture. So feel free to make how you would like.
Can I make this an alcoholic drink
Go right ahead and make this an adult drink if you want. Add in a splash of rum, vodka, or even tequila. It will add a nice punch of flavor and be a refreshing boozy drink. A fun party drink or even for a summer cookout.
Storing Leftovers
Go right ahead and store any leftovers in the fridge. I don’t recommend making the drink too far in advance as the Sprite will go flat pretty quickly. You can store the drink in the fridge for a few hours if you don’t drink it all right away.
Variations to Recipe
- Change up the colors you use for food coloring if you want. I loved doing the purple and green but feel free to get creative.
- If you are not a fan of pina colada, swap with a lemonade or limeade mix. Both of those will be a great pairing.
- Add in some ice to keep the drink cool. To change it up, you could pre-freeze some of the sprite or pina colada mix, and as it thaws it will add flavor to your drink.
