Black + White Halloween Decor for Table
Halloween is here, and we’re ready to party!
With so many fun ideas for throwing a Halloween party, today I’m sharing how to create a black-and-white table decor idea.
As I’ve shared in my entertaining tips for Halloween, I’m not all about using gore and scary decorations.
I took inspiration from a few pieces for our black and white Halloween tablescape.
As you may know, I have a slight addiction to the popular pottery collection Rae Dunn.
Last year I created a fun Rae Dunn-inspired Halloween party idea, and I wanted to make another similar tablescape.
While at Home Goods recently, I came across these skull trick-or-treat bowls with matching pumpkin treat or trick plates from Belle Maison.
As soon as I spotted them, I knew I wanted to use this set in a Halloween tablescape idea.
After gathering a few more supplies from the craft store and finding some decor items on Canary & King’s website, I was ready to put this idea together.
Halloween Tiered Centerpiece
Let’s start with the centerpiece. After laying down a black stripe table runner from Canary & King, I built a two-tier stand.
Now, I have a variety of tier stands, but instead of using one of those, I decided to use two of my marble cake stands.
For the bottom tier, I am using a square marble cake stand, then added a second smaller round one on top.
I assembled a variety of white and orange mini pumpkins on the first and second tiers of this centerpiece.
I added my Rae Dunn Trick or Treat Canister and Happy Halloween candle for the top level.
For a final little pop of color, I placed a striped plastic pumpkin and a white mini-pumpkin in this tier.
For a little extra Halloween fun, I added black paper bats.
You can easily make these using your Cricut or order online.
Halloween Table Setting
Here’s how I put my table setting together for this Halloween black and white theme in the following order:
- Spider Web Placemat [ Craft Store or online]
- Black & White striped charger [ Craft Store]
- Orange Cloth Napkin folder horizontally and tucked under the charger [Home Goods]
- Pumpkin Trick or Treat Dinner Plate [Home Goods]
- Happy Halloween Rae Dunn salad paper plate [Home Goods]
I also added black silverware and two sets of glassware.
While putting this tablescape together, I came across my Crackle Martini Glasses I picked up from Pier 1 a few years ago.
For a fun idea, feel free to add candy corn to your martini glasses.
You can jazz up the dead space with additional Halloween decorations if you have extra room on your table.
I added more orange and white mini pumpkins, black and white straws, Rae Dunn Trick or Treat napkins, and other Halloween pottery from the Rae Dunn collection.
Where can I buy Rae Dunn Halloween items?
When I share photos of my Rae Dunn collection, people always ask where to find these items.
This line of Rae Dunn items can be found at Home Goods, T.J. Maxx, Sierra, and Marshall’s.
You can shop in-store and online.
You can also find people selling their collection or extra items they purchased on eBay, Facebook groups, and other sell sites.
I typically don’t decorate my wall space when I put together a tablescape.
Still, since this is a party-style idea, I added a few extra bats and orange + black paper decorations from Canary & King.
I also added a few extra paper bats across the table and more orange and white mini pumpkins.
You can find these pumpkins at pumpkin patches, local Farmer’s Markets, or your grocery store may carry them.

If you’re unsure where to start, sometimes I walk the aisles of my favorite home decor + craft stores to get inspired.
It’s easy to search for ideas on Pinterest, but there is something special about getting out in the store and finding a particular plate or napkin, and then expanding your idea from that one thing.
