3-ingredient Christmas Fudge is going to be the highlight of the evening. A semi-sweet chocolate fudge that is so velvety and festive! Add on some colorful Christmas sprinkles, or slice and serve the fudge up plain. Either way, this is the easiest chocolate fudge recipe.
3-Ingredient Christmas Fudge
Growing up, I couldn’t wait to head to my Grandma’s house for Christmas. One of the main things I look forward to, besides seeing her, was the food. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her fudge was one of the holiday desserts I look forward to having every single year. This is a classic Christmas dessert recipe that has been around forever. If you are not big into baking but want a sweet treat, this fudge is perfect. Great for holiday entertaining, bake sales, and even packing in your child’s lunch.
Fudge is also a great homemade gift to give to others.

What Do I Need To Make This Microwave Fudge
Sweetened Condensed Milk | The condensed milk is the base of this fudge. It is thick, creamy, and helps give the fudge that velvety texture.
Chocolate Chips | Now, I reached for semi-sweet chips. But you are more than welcome to reach for white chocolate or even milk chocolate chips. I do recommend quality chocolate as that will affect the flavor of your fudge greatly.
Vanilla Extract | Now a little splash of vanilla will add the ultimate sweetness to the fudge.
Sprinkles | Sprinkles are optional, but for our family, we always agree, sprinkles are always highly suggested! They make desserts colorful and fun. And even adults love to nibble on sprinkles from time to time.
How to Make Fudge
Start by lining your pan with parchment paper. This is going to help prevent the fudge from sticking in the pan. Then after you get pan lined, set it aside.
Now in a bowl, add your sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips. Heat in 30-second increments in the microwave, stirring. You want to heat until all the chocolate chips fully melt. You can also use a double boiler if you don’t want to do the microwave.
Once melted, stir in your vanilla and pour the fudge into the pan. Add sprinkles if you would like, and allow the fudge to set up.
Then with a sharp knife, slice, and serve!
Storing Fudge
Fudge can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container on the counter. Or you can opt to store your fudge in the fridge if you prefer.
In terms of freezing, this 3 ingredient chocolate fudge freezes and thaws perfectly. Just wrap well in aluminum foil and then place in a freezer bag. Store for up to 3 months in the freezer.
Variations To Fudge
- Stir in some nuts; you could do pecans, walnuts, etc.
- Add in some mini marshmallows to give it a sweet flavor.
- Swap the chocolate with milk chocolate, white chocolate, etc.
- Feel free to double the recipe and do a 9×13 pan.
You can truly change things up and make the fudge fit to your liking. This is one of our favorite fudge recipes that can be made in no time.

Recipe Notes
Prep Time: 5 minutes. Rest Time: 1 hour.
You must use sweetened condensed milk in this recipe– not evaporated milk.
For a sweet and salty fudge, add ½ teaspoon flakey sea salt on top.
If the fudge is too hard to cut, allow it to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Additionally, running your knife under hot water before slicing will ensure smooth, easy slices.
