Summer is here, and a good bratwurst recipe is calling my name. But not just any brat will do. I created a bratwurst recipe using the Smithfield®’s Yuengling® Bratwurst, along with a few other ingredients to make Bratwurst Spring Rolls, plus a spicy mustard dipping sauce. Thanks to Smithfield for sponsoring this post. All creatives listed below, recipe, and opinions are 100% my own.
Yuengling Bratwurst Spring Rolls + Spicy Mustard Dipping Sauce
We all like brats, right? Summertime, beer, and brats go together like two, well, three peas in a pod. But then I got to thinking. How about we stuff the brats we love so much into a spring roll? Why not? So we did just that very thing. And so check out our Yuengling Bratwurst Spring Rolls! With our Spicy Mustard Dipping Sauce, it’s a pretty good combination. But have you noticed something about these brats? These aren’t just any run of the mill brats! Nope, not even close. These are Smithfield® Craft Collection™ Limited Batch Yuengling brats. I am drooling over here!
Did you know Yuengling is America’s oldest brewery, and located in Pennsylvania? And furter, did you know Smithfield® is in the ham capital of the world (located in Virginia). When you pair these two, not only are they grounded in tradition, but there is a unique flavor in every bite. And the Yuengling lager well, if you’re a beer fan you may already know about this highly coveted beer. It’s no wonder these two decided to pair up to make a bratwurst so good you’ll want to smack somebody (okay, maybe not, but you may come real close!). But you know what? You’ll smack your lips!
The good folks over at Smithfield joined forces with Yuengling Brewing to create something pretty unique
Our spring rolls go great with a Yuengling Lager. Both items can be found at your local Kroger (and banner stores like Gerbes, Owen’s, or Ruler).
When you start with good ingredients…
This is a great recipe to make for summer outdoor gatherings with friends and family. It makes for a super yum appetizer or a game night or girl’s night in. Can you imagine a good lager beer and these bratwursts at your next summer party? It’s an easy appetizer to put together and let the good times “spring” roll! Sorry, I couldn’t resist! I think you won’t be able to resist them either. And why would you anyway? Add the meat and some of your favorite vegetables, and you’re already half-way to a plateful of deliciousness! I highly suggest having a spring roll making party!
Would you just look at all of these wonderful colors!
Would you believe me if I you told that all of the seasoning and irresistible flavor comes from these Yuengling + Smithfield® brats?
It’s true! No salt, pepper or any other seasoning is needed. Smithfield’s Yuengling Lager Bratwurst impart so much savory flavor all you have to do is brown the brats and add the veggies. But don’t trust me, you’ll have to make them yourself to enjoy.
Just fold like little envelopes filled to bursting with so much YUMVILLE!
I stopped at 40 spring rolls, but my boys wanted me to make an even 100. Hungry?
Okay, maybe each one isn’t geometrically perfect, but they all taste of the exact yumlicious dimensions!
Just dip a spring roll into our Spicy Ginger Mustard Sauce, and you will know what a mouthful of joy tastes like!
Brats + Beer go hand in hand. Need I say more?
Knocking back an ice-cold Yuengling traditional lager and enjoying our Yuengling Bratwurst Spring Rolls is a great way to enjoy summertime. And if you want something incredibly good to dip those Spring Rolls in, try our Spicy Ginger Mustard. So good!
These Spring Rolls are crispy in the right places, with a bratwurst and savory vegetable filling. They’re delicious all over!
Dip it real good!

You make it look so easy to do. I’ve never tried making spring rolls, but these look like ones my boys would adore.

My husband Derrick, made it look super easy. He had the whole spring roll making station set up. I love watching him in the kitchen because he’s so serious and wants everything to look perfect. I guess that’s why he’s in charge of the food and drink. Thank you, Laura. Come by again and check us out.

Oh man this is something that the entire family will just love but I’m sure if I tried making it, it would just NOT be the same. This is one I’m going to leave for you to make for us when we visit.

Derrick made it look so easy. He’s a show off too, so that doesn’t help. LOL! I am sure he would love to make these again, especially for your family! If you decide to give it a try let us know. Thank you!

I never would have thought about using the beer brats as a filling for these rolls. Fantastic idea, and love your pictures. Great recipe!

I figured, why not at least try it! And I am glad we did, these spring rolls came out wonderfully. Our boys just ate ’em up quick, fast, and in a hurry and still wanted more! My husband made 40 and if he would have make double that I am certain they would have gobbled them up too! We have teenage twins and an eleven year old, all boys and they eat like you wouldn’t believe!
