The long-awaited Marvel’s movie is here! Avengers: Endgame hits theaters everywhere on April 26th. I’m sharing a few things you should know before seeing the movie and my general thoughts.
Marvel’s Best One Yet: Avengers: Endgame {Spoiler-Free Review}
It’s been a little under 24 hours since first screening Avengers: Endgame, and I’m still sitting here processing everything my eyes and ears witnessed yesterday.
First, there’s so much that happens within three hours. I mean, a LOT!
Second, I don’t know how I am supposed to write this review without saying NOTHING.
But, I will say this… go and see Avengers: Endgame THIS WEEKEND. Don’t wait. By Sunday, spoilers will be all over the internet, and if you don’t want it ruined, you will either need to stay off the internet and away from anyone who saw the movie, or just go and see it!
In short, Avengers Endgame is Marvel Studios wrapped into one movie. It’s the end of an era. It answers a lot of questions we’ve had since Avengers: Infinity War and even behind that.
Tip: There is no post-credit, so you don’t have to sit through all of the credits.
I’ll do my best to answer a few general questions about Avengers Endgame!
Things you need to know before seeing Avengers Endgame this weekend!
What is Avengers Endgame about?
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Is it really three hours long?
Yes, this movie is three hours long without any intermission. So, get your snacks and potty breaks in before the movie starts. There are a few spots in the film where if you need to run out and use the bathroom or refill your popcorn bucket, you can do it. My friend, Patty covers when you can leave in the movie to go to the bathroom.
Is it safe for kids?
Did your kids see Infinity War? Then yes, you’re fine. I only noted a few swear words, and that was about it. The Russo brothers did a great job (in my opinion) of keeping this movie ideal for kids. Now, I wouldn’t take younger kids because that might be a bit much for them to sit for three hours. And if that’s the case, that would be rude to everyone else that paid to see this movie. My teen boys will be going to see it on Friday. Parents, you know your children best. If your 8-year-old is a huge Marvel fan, and they’ve seen all the rest of the movies, then go for it.
Of course, you will have violence due to the fighting that happens, but as far as gross images, nudity, none of that is there.
Do people die?
Well, what do you think? I am going to share more thoughts on what happens in the movie. But for now, all I can say is go and watch it!
Do you need to watch all of Marvel’s movies before seeing Avengers: Endgame?
Nope. The ones you should watch to make sure you know what’s going on are the following:
- Avengers: Infinity War
- Thor Ragnarok
- Captain Marvel
- Ant-Man and the Wasp
- The Avengers Movie
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Captain American: Civil War
If you have additional time, you can go back and watch all the rest of the Avengers movies.
To sum this up, go and see Avengers Endgame!
There was so much information packed into this movie, but it still left me with a few lingering questions that I will share later. However, I loved it. I am not going to hype it up because I want every person to walk away with their own thoughts and feelings.
I will say this; Marvel Studios did a great job of allowing the original Avengers to each have a moment to shine. We’ve seen Hulk/Banner fighting within himself for control, and in Endgame, they both get redemption. As the leader, Captain America does seem pretty amazing things which made me love him even more.
Thor and Rocket bring the comedy as usual, and surprisingly, Don Cheadle’s character is quite funny in this movie. I didn’t care for Captain Marvel at first, but this movie made me root for Carol.
Isn’t it interesting that the Avengers that survived the snap are all the original Avengers? Interesting indeed.
When does Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame come out?
April 26th. However, many theaters have screenings starting tomorrow night, April 25th!
