Are you armed with something cold and refreshing for summer? Our Apple Mango & Cherry Lemonade Ice Pops are the perfect frozen treat for kids!
Apple Mango & Cherry Lemonade Ice Pops
We are on a countdown to summer.
With summer comes beautiful, sunny days and long hot nights.
We try to soak up as much sun as possible here in Michigan.
With many beach towns within driving distance, I’m working on our summer bucket list.
Here’s what we have so far:
- Visit at least four beach towns around Michigan.
- Sign up for basketball camp.
- Road trip to Indiana (in May + June).
- Road trip to D.C.
- Day vacations around Michigan.
- Spending time with friends + family.
- Getting a new splash pad.
- Basketball games with friends.
- Reading at least five new books.
- Road trip to Mackinaw.
- Road trip to Traverse City.
- Plan road trips Ohio, Wisconsin, and Chicago.
- Explore four new towns/cities in Michigan.
Whew, what a list, right? Thankfully, our summers will include a cool, frozen treat like our ice pops.
Our cool, cold creations will surely be a frosty favorite for kids and adults alike. And the really cool thing about this recipe is that it is super-duper and easy to make.
All you need is a few ingredients and about a dozen (or more) ice bags.
We came up with a fun frozen treat for the boys.
I know they will be outside playing basketball, running through the sprinklers, riding bikes, and working up a sweat.
Our Ice pops will be the ideal treat to help them cool down.
Mott’s 100% Apple Mango Juice is a beverage the whole family will love. These 8 oz 6-pack bottles are exclusive to Dollar General (and it provides the lowest price compared to other stores -$2.75).
Other Mott’s 100% Juice flavors are Apple, Apple White Grape, and Apple Cherry. With this size, you can easily pack them for road trips, snacks, or just a quick and healthy beverage for warm summer days.
Into a large measuring cup, add one bottle of Mott’s 100% Apple Mango Juice and a single tablespoon of Cherry Lemonade mix. Stir until the mix is completely dissolved.
We used a mandolin to cut thin slices of lemon and lime and then a sharp knife to cut the slices into small wedges.
Into each ice bag, place 2-3 slices of lemon and lime.
Pour the Apple Mango Juice & Cherry Lemonade into each bag and fill to the fill line.
Close the bags by pressing the zip-lock seal securely closed and freeze for 2-3 hours or overnight.
Serve.
