Benefits Of Staying @ Paradise Point Resort {San Diego}
When making plans to travel to San Diego, you may find yourself overwhelmed with all of the many hotel and resort options! San Diego is a popular tourist area, so searching for a hotel near the must-see attractions can be daunting.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Paradise Point Resort, and I’m sharing with you the benefits of staying on their property!
Comfortability
It doesn’t matter if you’re staying in a room with two double queen beds or a king-size suite, Paradise Point wants you to feel at both comfortable and spoined. This resort has “462 Balinese influenced bungalow-style rooms, including 73 hotel suites“. I stayed in a bungalow suite with a king-sized bed, and I slept like a well-pampered baby. The room was clean (and yes, I am one of those people who pull back the sheets to check out the mattresses) and well-maintained. And with the large windows, there was lots of the sunshine you came to California for in the first place.
The hotel also has a variety of accommodation option luxury suites. But, If you’re bringing the family along, staying in a bungalow suite would be ideal. The bungalow boasts a separate bedroom with a king-size bed, two bathrooms, a dining area, wet bar (with a small fridge) and a living room area with a pullout sleeper couch.
Accommodations also include:
- Private patio with Adirondack chairs
- King size bed or 2 double beds
- Mini-fridge
- High-speed internet access (wireless & hard-wired)
- Alarm clock radio with mp3 input
- 37-inch flat screen TV and cable featuring premium channels
- Designer bath amenities by Gilchrist & Soames
- Irons & ironing boards
- Coffee-maker
- Hair dryer
- In-room safes (safe deposit boxes also available at front desk)
- Suites with wet bar and microwave
- Reserved doorstep parking – $37 per car per night
- Passport to Paradise – $29 per room per night*
- Rollaway beds and pack ‘n’ plays also available
- Pet-friendly hotel accommodations
- 13 ADA-accessible guest rooms
On-site Dining Options
You have a variety of excellent dining options on Paradise Island. ” Tidal, a laid-back dining experience at the waterfront Barefoot Bar & Grill, or quick and delicious eats at the poolside Tropics Cantina or Caveman Pizza Company.” I had the pleasure of eating at Paradise Point Resort’s signature restaurant, Tidal while vacationing at the resort. Can I just say, “WOW!” The food and service are beyond superb!
We started with a three-cheese tray: Wagon Wheel, Marisa, and Humboldt Fog. Even with my “dairy issues”, I was able to chow down and enjoy the goat cheese. For my main entrée, I had the Salmon Wellington, talk about putting a major twist on the classic Beef Wellington! My hat off to the chef for creating such a wonderful dish! I also ordered a side of roasted fingerling potatoes.
I love the modern feel of their restaurant, with it’s vibrant colors, and it’s well lit and with a spaciousness that encourages diners to sit back and relax. Plus, the cool, funky gray chairs were fun to sit in while devouring every single amazing bite of my unforgettable meal.

I was only there a short time, so I didn’t have time to check out the spa. However, when I return, the spa will be on my list of “must” things to do. Come nightfall I definitely want to experience a roaring bonfire in one of their many fire pits (and they have smores kits too, so you don’t have to make a run at the store!). These folks have thought of just about every, and they definitely know how to vacay.
When checking in, the staff was pleasant, polite, professional and knowledgeable about, not just the resort, but also about events happening locally They were prompt in helping me check in, as well as courteous.
One of the complimentary services I liked was the business center. Since I was flying back home when I checked out, I needed to print my boarding pass. I was able to go to their business center and quickly find my airline and print my boarding pass. This is a super convenient service for travelers.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Paradise Point Resort & Spa. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a meeting place in the San Diego area, looking for a weekend getaway idea in San Diego, where to have your wedding (or any other special event) in San Diego or sesarching for a vacation resort for you and your family, Paradise Point offers everything you need and more.
