We’re creating the perfect Blue Summer Outdoor Tablescape filled with fresh flowers and a current trend of adding table lamps.

This blue tablescape has been on my list of things to do.
It came together quickly with fresh flowers from Swallowtail Farm, peony stems (Whole Foods), and blue hydrangeas from Costco.
Adding ribbon and bows to table settings has been a lovely trend over the last year or so, but I’m currently obsessed with table lamps.
They give off such a cozy vibe, and this style of Fire Table Lamp adds an elegant touch to our summer tablescape.
See, they give off such a beautiful glow at night. One thing you’ll want to remember is that using these table lights outdoors at night will attract bugs.
You will want to have some mosquito control set up before your gathering.
This blue tablescape is perfect for
- summer gatherings
- Bridgerton viewing parties or dinner ideas
- summer dinner club
- garden tea party
Let’s get into how I put this together.
I am often asked how I come up with my tablescape designs. Often, it starts with something simple: a design on a plate, a style of glassware, etc.
This case started with the Abi plates I ordered last summer from Anthropologie. You will typically spend more time sourcing all of your table items.
I also started making mood boards in Canva, adding all the items I plan to use or be inspired by for a specific tablescape.
Once you have all your items, it’s all about setting the table!
Setting this Blue Summer Tablescape
Tablecloth: Start by laying down the French Vanilla Printed Linen Fabric Tablecloth. This will serve as the foundation for your tablescape and should complement the blue motif of your plates and the light blue napkins.
Napkins: After adding the tablecloth, lay down the light blue cloth napkin.
Dinnerware: Place the Abi Dinner & Dessert Plates in the Blue Motif at each setting. The blue pattern will create a striking contrast against the French vanilla tablecloth.
Glassware: Position the Clear Glassware to the left of each plate. This clear glassware will maintain a clean and sophisticated look, ensuring the colorful plates and napkins stand out.
Goblets: Set the Lucia Acrylic Goblet Wine Glasses next to the clear glassware. These goblets will add a touch of elegance and interest to the table setting.
Blue Matte Silverware: Arrange the Matte Blue Silverware on either side of the plates: the fork to the left and the knife, followed by the spoons on the right side of the plate.
Centerpiece: Use the Ceramic Table Vase filled with a fresh flower arrangement for the centerpiece. I’m using three vases placed throughout the table.
Lighting: Place the table lamps strategically on either side of the flowers.
Additional tips:
I added some additional small flower arrangements with blue hydrangeas in small cases along the table.
Consider adding a few candles or tealights to add extra ambiance.
You want the vibe of your table setting to allow for comfortable conversation and access to all items on the table.
This setup should create a cohesive, stylish, inviting tablescape for any gathering.
