Create a fun Halloween party with an orange and black Halloween Party Idea.
This party features a Halloween Balloon Arch and some Rae Dunn Halloween pieces, showing you how to pull it all together to create a fun Halloween Party Table.
Orange and Black Halloween Party Idea
Halloween is here, and we are excited to share our party idea.
We recently shared on the blog the Black & White tablescape idea that matches this party set-up.
When hosting a party, and if you have space, it is always a great idea to set up a side table or buffet to place your food and extra treats.
For this set-up, we placed a round table in the corner. It’s out of the way but still accessible for our guests.
I used a variety of cake stands and a two-tiered stand to add different levels.
With the taller cake stands and tier in the back, guests can still see what’s on those stands without moving other items.
Rae Dunn Halloween Canisters
Of course, I had to use my Halloween canisters from Magenta’s Rae Dunn collection.
One of the reasons why this pottery is so popular is that it goes with everything!
Whether a farmhouse style or a party treat table, my Halloween canisters fit perfectly.
I used my Rae Dunn Boo canister, Rae Dunn Haunted canister, and Rae Dunn Happy Halloween canister for this party treat table.
And if you open them up, you’ll find tons of candy.
If you don’t have this specific type of canister, you can use clear vases or find old canisters at the thrift store and spray paint them black.
Use your Cricut to make the words with the Rae Dunn-inspired font I have here on the blog.
This could also be a Rae Dunn treat table with all of this pottery! Haha!
I added my Happy Halloweeen + Trick or Treat black Rae Dunn bowls.
I love this black matte style.
I added a white bowl between the two black bowls and an orange cloth napkin for a pop of color.
Halloween Party Treats
For our treats, I cheated. Seriously, sometimes you don’t have time to bake and put it all together.
So I stopped at Walmart and picked up fall + Halloween-themed baked goods.
I picked cookies, cupcakes, and candy. Hey, the 3 C’s! I also added a mixed popcorn munch and popcorn from G.H. Cretors. {the best popcorn!}
But, if I had the time, I would add a few more Halloween-themed treats like my Witch’s Brooms, Pretzel Bones, Monster Cookies, Halloween Treat: Monster Munch, and Monster Cookie Dip.
For drinks, if it’s kid-friendly, you can make Kid-Friendly Halloween Drink: Green Apple Cider Lemonade.
Or, if you’re hosting adults, you can make our Dead-Eye Whiskey Halloween Cocktail Idea or Black Voodoo Citrus Cocktail.
Halloween Party Decorations
To add more fun + festivity to our party idea, we placed black bats on the wall and put together a black, orange, and white Halloween-themed balloon arch.
The Rae Dunn Halloween items are also part of the party decorations, along with the napkins and the dishes holding the ghost peeps and popcorn.
You can find the paper bats online or in a nearby craft store. Black cats would also be fun to add to this Halloween theme.

You could also watch scary movies, visit a pumpkin patch, or take this party outdoors with a Halloween movie night.
Halloween Balloon Arch
It’s typical to find balloon arches at events, birthday parties, and wedding receptions.
But, creating a balloon arch for an in-home party takes your party to the next level.
After making my first Toy Story Balloon Arch, I was hooked.
I love how a balloon arch can give that exact pop to any party.
Where To Get a Balloon Arch Kit
For this Halloween Balloon Arch, I assembled it using a kit, then intertwined the arch with spider web, giving it a Halloween look.
There are a few ways you can construct a balloon arch.
First, you can head to a party supply store or online to order all the variety of balloons you need, and don’t forget the balloon tape.
I love using a variety of orange balloons, black balloons, and ballons with polka dots. Finishing this arch with spider webs gives this idea Halloween vibes.
The second option is to purchase the specific balloon kit with everything you need, including the directions on how to assemble {here’s the one I used}.
Double-check to make sure the kit includes a balloon pump. If not, be sure to order one!
Additional Halloween Decorations for your party idea:
- Add white pumpkins or orange pumpkins. You could also skip the traditional Halloween colors and use teal pumpkins.
- Create a pumpkin centerpiece.
- Use a Witch Hat on your arch or as a centerpiece for your Halloween table.
- A crystal ball would be another Halloween decor idea to add.
- Some finishing touches for table decorations would be orange accents, creepy crawlers, little ghouls, and Halloween party food.

Halloween Candy Board
Another fun treat idea to add to Halloween parties is a Halloween Candy Board, or you may also call it a Halloween charcuterie candy board.
Either way, it’s a fun way to display your candy and sweet treats. Get inspired by this Halloween Snack Board Idea.
Here’s what we put on our candy board:
- candy corn
- ghost peeps
- a variety of chocolate
- yogurt covered pretzels
- caramel candy
- festive popcorn mix
- pumpkin peeps
- themed cookies (you can make or find similar treats at grocery stores, local bakeries, and stores like Home Goods + World Market)
- sour jelly pumpkin candies
Pro-tip. Box up some of this Halloween candy as party favors for your party guests.
I used my pumpkin ramekins from Pier 1 to hold additional candy.
It’s doing two jobs- holding the candy and adding to this themed party.
Are you a fan of candy corn?
I saved time by picking up themed cupcakes.
I loved how this party turned out!
With just a few party supplies and decorations, you can pull off a fun and fab party table like this one.
Happy Halloween!
