As we start another school year, there are a few conversations you need to have with your high schoolers. I’m sharing three important conversations I’ve had with my teen boys for the 2019 school year.

Three Conversations You Need To Have With Your High Schoolers
Another school year has started, and we’ve started to fall into a consistent routine. With two high schoolers and a middle schooler, we’re working on establishing routines and having balance when it comes to school and fun. As the boys get older, their school routine has changed due to harder classes, extracurricular activities, and part-time jobs.
Conversations With High Schoolers
With two 11th graders this year, we’re having conversations about college tours, career goals, and life after high school. It’s a bittersweet feeling, knowing they are growing up so quickly and close to leaving home. We’re also having conversations about life and confidence.
Life after college. This is a conversation that starts in elementary school with the “what do you want to be when you grow up” questions. As our boys get older, those conversations have become serious and include action plans; such as planning college tours, attending college fairs, applying for part-time jobs, looking for scholarships, and so on.
Safety. We live in a time where we can’t be naive. Having those conversations about safety at school, or while driving or riding in a car with other teens is essential for their safety. We’ve sat the teens down and had these tough conversations over and over again. No texting and driving, if you’re hanging out with friends and things get wild, call us to come and get you, and the list goes on and on. These conversations are not always easy to have, but so essential for growing teens.
Hygiene is still important. When it comes to boys, getting them to care about their hygiene can be a struggle. One thing we have used to help the boys manage their hygiene is good body + hair products. AXE is a brand we love and trust for quality ingredients and great smells. Having good hygiene gives confidence, which is another conversation we continue to have with our teen boys.
MomVersations is conversations between moms and their boys, and it’s happening all over the nation. AXE wants to ensure moms have the tools they need to help their sons have great hygiene and confidence.
Some of the boys’ favorite varieties include
Axe Phoenix 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner, 16oz. which is great when you’re short on time. This 2-in-1 leaves their hair feeling soft, touchable, and clean.
The AXE Clean Cut Look Classic Pomade allows the boys to style their hair a variety of ways while holding a medium hold and a finishing shine.
They also love the AXE Body Wash for Men, Apollo, 16 oz. for a masculine fragrance filled with crisp notes of green fruits and fresh sage. AXE is also the #1 World Male Body Wash Brand, and it’s a favorite with our teen boys.
And of course, their hygiene is complete when you add AXE Phoenix Deodorant Stick, which provides all-day freshness and odor protection. It goes on smoothly and gives the boys the confidence they need for a fantastic day.
For the days they have gym class, they tuck a pack of AXE Apollo Deodorant Wipes 25 ct. in their backpacks. With the same fresh, crisp notes of green fruits and sage, this is a great way to stay refreshed throughout the day.
This week at CVS, you can find this Buy 1, Get 1 50% on select AXE products: BUY 1 GET 1 50% OFF WITH CARD [ valid 9/22-9/29/2019 ] Select AXE products. I love deals like this, allowing me to stockup at a great price for the entire school year. You can shop in-store or online.
