Sweet Orange + Tequila Cocktail
Around The Worthey House, we like to try our hand at creating cocktails like our Sweet Orange + Tequila Cocktail is inspired by random things like, what’s on sale this week. Or what our favorite local greengrocer just got in. Basically, what we create is largely dictated by the availability of fresh ingredients, mood or whatever random creative impulse strikes my fancy at any given moment.
For this one, we called upon the ripe sweetness of navel oranges, about two ounces, one ounce of Triple Sec, an ounce and a half of tequila, and three ounces of tonic water. That’s it, and it is pretty darn good. It’s more like the second cousin of a margarita, and instead of rimming the glass with salt we used the sweet crystals of finishing sugar. How bow dat?
So, if you are over there looking at that bottle of tequila wondering how you and a few guests are going to finish it off, and you’re so tired of throwing back shots then give our glass of deliciousness fun a try.
