The Elf On The Shelf DIY Scarf

I am such a huge fan of The Elf On The Shelf, and to help you make this year even more fun, I am sharing a super fun Elf On The Shelf DIY Scarf.  This is just what you need to add a little extra unique look to your Elf this year.

The Elf On The Shelf DIY Scarf

I love the idea of customizing our Elf On The Shelf this year.  By making this super easy DIY scarf for The Elf On The Shelf, you can really make your Elf yours.  Let’s face it, this craze has meant that millions of people have these in their holiday decorations.  Since they are all pretty much identical, creating your own DIY Scarf can really personalize your Elf this year.

Supplies:

• Red and green felt
• Skinny silver rope
• Hot glue/hot glue gun
• Scissors

Directions:

Cut a green piece of felt 1″ wide by 9″ long

Note: cut about 14 pieces of red felt 1″ long and 1/4″ wide

Hot glue your red stripes onto your green strip, spacing them equally

Tie two pieces of silver rope together and cut off just above the knot, make 6 of these

Now hot glue three knots onto each end of the scarf

Wrap the scarf around your elf’s neck, cross the scarf on the front, and hot glue the scarf together

Making this DIY Scarf for your Elf on the Shelf this year can also be a super fun project to do with your kids.  You can make it a special craft idea for you to do as a gift for your Elf.  Kids will have fun making something for their Elf on the Shelf, and  you will have a great activity to keep them busy!
